The first boxes 📦

Published on 2 December 2020 at 14:57

There we go! Today and tomorrow filled with bringing away the big boxes, thankfully with a lot of help from my 💙 because of the weight of these boxes were way too heavy for me.

10 boxes, 10 big shoppers and 10 goodiebags for the families +2 smaller ones for some singles.

First thing this morning, 💙 helped me with the boys. We brought them bright and early to daycare so we could go and start the day.

After our Starbucks cappuccino we were enroute.

Back home filling 💙 his van that he has for his work with boxes and bags.

We started with bringing the first couple of boxes to the Open hof church here nearby, these boxes were for some struggling families who came out of Eritrea 🇪🇷 to pursue a better life. They were in shock of the amount and size of these boxes and the faces from the organisation was just priceless. They told me to update me about those family reactions. So I will share this in a video or IG.

After that we went to a single mum, hands full with enough kids. As they were close by it was easy to deliver.

Than we went to the south part of the city and I spoke to the woman of the family when I delivered their box. Such an intriguing woman with a recognisable story, I almost teared up. Seriously wanted to hug her. Sidenote: People if you ever struggle with depression please seek help in the right places. It doesn't matter how hard life is please don't go trough this alone. (Good for me to say though 🤦🏽‍♀️)

At last  we went to the center part of the city to bring boxes to a debt administration office who have registered a couple of families too and who donated a big amount!

After this we went back home, I'm exhausted but happy, but exhausted.

Tomorrow the last 3 boxes and then it is done. Done for this year. Next year a another round because there were 2 big companies who already confirmed that they want to help out next year!

So if I can get as much help as this year probably next year would be a succes again. Only I will organise and start earlier next year so that everything will hopefully will go smooth and well organised from the start on.

I can not wait!

In a next blog I will write about the persons and companies/ businesses who helped me out this year with this small but big SUCCES DONATION!!

#HOMEINCELEBRATION

Take care ( of eachother) stay healthy.

Thank you all!
